The other day I read a poem that showed me a street scene in a place that i had never seen. It was charming, insightfull, beguilling. HERe is yourr challenge:
Show me the streets
beyond the streets
that I know
We go about our business
along the streets we know
Main St., First Ave,
And the rest.
Our St. Home St.
Known St.
But most of the world,
Lives somewhere else
Tell me the tale
Of your home street
Where you do you business
Let me hear its language
Rhythm, and rhyme
show me a street
beyond
the streets I know
