My Irish Girl
I could hear the last cheers of “Bully Boy” and see the fading, waving hands of my friends and lover as their ship slipped over the horizon.
A Line from Milton echoed through my mind as I sat upon the rocky shoreline looking beyond the breakers. “Twilight fades behind the crimson moon light.” I could hear the horseman’s carriage behind me to take me home forty-eight this day never again will I be alone. I meet a Beautiful Irish girl, fiery hair and mind so like my own.
My Heart breaks, watching her sail away, I know she will be near me come another day. Paradise is not lost behind the twilight fading crimson moon light; it just waits for me, and my Irish girl to fall in love, on this a new day.
and the echo of the horse hooves give my senses delight
to feel the emotion of this...your words unfolden from your heart...
