Inspirational thought

Poem Artwork

What a strange enigma this thing called will-power, what is it I have often wondered, is it the inner most workings of one’s mind to control actions and thoughts, somehow curving them to shape what we want to happen within the ideologies of our wants for needed change in our lives. And is there any real substance to this thing we call will-power. The philosophical answer is who knows. I believe it is not within one’s abilities to control his or hers will-power to reflect a change in one’s life brought about by actions conceived on the mantel of needful change by subjective and objective thought alone, However, it is much deeper than that, will-power has no power without the coachman holding the reins of desire. You see desire to repeat those things mundane or harmful is a greater power than just trying to apply ones will-power, to succeed in overcoming those behaviors that impends ones healthy/mental and physical life. Desire is the driving force that guides us along the many choices we make, we must change the desire from one of hopeless careless, indifference, to a desire of mutual understanding that needed change is worth focusing one’s will-power on. Than we will realize that yes, I have changed, and say with open honesty, I am not the person I use to be.  So, the next time someone says to you, you got to have more will-power old boy remind them that you have will-power you just lack the desire to give up those things you thought you needed most.
