The thoughts and life of a child abandoned at birth.

Poem Artwork

As if yesterday, newspaper held some meaning for what! I will never know, its unread-yellow -smells of urine and mildew by the morning drew. I toss about afraid, alone watching shaking hungry it is so cold, but I am not afraid.
Wake up weird one wake up and see what you people have done to me I made you happy but you were not pleased you have taken my family away from me.
So leave me now and lock me in this living Hell, you’ve taken my family away from me. Wake up weird one wake up and see what you people have done to me, I made you happy but you were not pleased, wake up weird one wake up and see.
As if nothing matters just the rain, just the wind, I am here trying to keep silent trying to avoid the wetness beneath me, my basket is frayed my thoughts drift away. Who I am what is this place who were those  things, that smiled at me who were they, I smile and play,  It is so cold I shake, can I cry will they come back if I lay still will they come back, will they look down at me and smile.
Wake up weird one wake up and see what you people have done to me, I tried to make you happy but you were not pleased you’ve taken my family from me, so leave me now and lock me in this living hell, Wake up weird one wake up and see.

Eugene your expression is deeply piercing in perceptions of life
These realities of abandon always stealing love’s light from us are so sorrowing in torments
And all the while knowing when someone says “it’s going to be ok” that it is not going to be ok…
It just isn’t…

My gut is full of my own breath. The horror of a small child with all the unanswered questions caused by abondonment never go away, My God at the torment every second must be. My heart weeps.
Blessings and love,
Susan

Karma Bank to Following By Listening by Chiemi

These song lyrics and art are tales, tides and twinkling lights - tunes telling stories of warmth and sun, city and sand, paths that lead, and the coins we can keep in the Karma Bank. Spirit's been bypassed for sorrow, dreaming of a better tomorrow .
