Insane Without You

The house was a lonely
Place to be
While you were gone
Away from me
Nothing was the same
The silence
Was driving me insane.

I dare not sleep
Upon our bed
For I might spring a leak
Of sadden tears
Just from merely
Inhailing your scent.

The sleeping gown, you removed
Before you left
Is still on your side
Of our bed.

When I walk into the room
During the day
I gently hold your gown
As it's silkiness
Melts through my fingers.

I gently press it against, my face
It's coolness relieves,
The pain in my heart
Without you, Is not the same
This loneliness
Is driving me insane.

All is in the past, now
As I wait your arrival
At the airport
You're returning
From the City
The Big Apple Of The world
Who is generously,
Rendering, my loveliness
Back to me.

You walk within an exiting crowd
A beautiful smile, crowns your face
Nothing will ever be the same
In this place
My peace of mind, will stay sane.

A love like yours will survive. Each need their own space once in a while. Who would not like a trip to NY, you are very generous to you love. This is what you think of your love expressed in poetry and it is lovely.

Expressed with deep feelings, you've showed it here. Well done on this great turn out, at the end, of a lonely situation.

This is beautiful. And so upbeat in the end--thank goodness. I was reading it with fear in my heart. I can totally identify. My husband and I can't stand to be apart.

this brings to mind the other.......most horrific side of the coin.......those parted by death....your write is about a temporary
absense..........
the other is final........

You've expressed the utter emptiness and loneliness of a soul mate's absence quite well in this poetic piece, William. So glad there was a happy ending.

Poet, often times too many do not take the time necessary to savor the one who makes them feel this way whenever their significant other is away from the nest, could lead one to become restless until they return back home. A beautiful declaration to the one who does make one feel this great inside, is a shining testament to this person’s ability to bring solace into one’s life. Incredible timeless poetry. Thank you for sharing it. Take good care and be well.

A very emotional, heartfelt tribute to another who could only create these special emotions inside of you. I know the feel of them, but I have never received the gift from someone who can love me so deep as your Lady did you Willilam. I just thought of something? I think a great song title for a poem like this would be "Straight From My Heart?" What do you think of that William?
You are fortunate indeed to have travelled this journey arriving at journeys emd with these special fellings. I travelled the same route
also but with a different result. B.M.

What are talking about, Bill, insanity is being married, so you can't be driven there, or it would be a short drive...This was quite nice and quite well thought out...Peace, Ed & Rufuz
