Goddess Of The Full Moon

How dare you compare
Your loveliness
To that of a clear
Full moon night.

How dare you tempt
The Gods
As they reach
To taste the sweet nectars.

That dwell within each tear
Cried
In heated passionate moments
As ecstasy reaches, for heaven
Before it dies.

How dare you tempt
The Gods
With every smile your lips
Will caress across
Your heaveny face.

How dare you
Bathe
The beauty
Of your loveliness
In the silvery moonbeams
Of a pale blue moon light.

Pray the Gods, will forgive you
As sanctuary
You seek, within
The sanctity, of my embrace.

I could affirm that this was recited by Zeus to Hera if the name of the Author of "Goddess Of The Full Moon" was not released.

Maginificence abounds in "Goddess Of The Full Moon", and it flows
with art, grace and beauty.

Wow, William! You have outdone your poetic prowess here... it has an angle that's quite original and the sometimes syncopated rhythm is really impressive!

The 'how dare you' lines glisten with originality... imagination threads through the entire verse. It's other-worldly, yet very humanly accessible. Great writing! katy xox.
