Peace, as tranquil, is the night,
Soothing and serene,
As the running waters,
Of a gentle stream.
Silence, is golden, shattered,
By night life,
Crickets, toads and mating calls,
Full moon arching,
The dark, velvet skies.
A hand held,
Hearts throbbing,
Love is brewing,
Gentle kisses.
Lips melting, thrembling wants,
Happiness, true love,
Promises, lies, tear drops,
Eyes staring, comets falling,
A wish made.
Mystic, is the night,
Hiding the unknown,
Predators preying,
The weak cowering.
Changing skies,
Fading in, is the gray,
Hues appearing,
Bright orange, merging,
Into, the horizon east,
Sun, rising to a new day.
