There's irony that words say much
When silence says much more
Eyes that search the other out
Say more when words ignore
The silent touch of a tender glance
From someone close in heart
Can reap rewards untold by words
That hide away the spark
A subtle glance from someone close
Can take the world away
When eyes can say a whole lot more
Than words could ever say.

Truly ... silence can speak volumes.
And the eyes, the windows to the soul, can
often reveal the heart of the matter quite effectively.
A wise woman wrote this.

Never has this truism been more eloqently or beautifully expressed, Susan. Such a glance penetrates time, distance, place and is one of soul-longing and soul-bearing. Such a glance renders us naked to the core, yet sublimely covered from head-to-toe in love at the same time. Sweet irony, to be sure! :)) xx

So true, the body language of the eyes is the one that makes me react more than anything else. Well done capturing your topic here.

A glance, a nod, a wink, a loving smile of contentment. All these things say love without a word.

A blinding truth, Susan...a Tender Glance is that of reassurance. It's a look that embeds in our souls...one we will always be able to recall, what time of day it took place, the environment, and with who...

Love,
Sage
