Shadows at the End of the Day

The sky was so blue today
Invited the doilied clouds to play
As the hot, humid weather stepped back
Winged seagulls took up the slack
Then Terns screeched and dove
Like the many inroads
Of play before day turned to black
The evening shadows like shades
Pulled down at the close of the day
As hyper paces slowed down
Night shadows reached for the ground
Then silence was broken
When whispers were spoken
And heartbeats were earths only sound.

A very nice walk through sunset and twilight, a sensory delight with a few restrained cinematic visuals...! It was a joy to read.
