Revised

A game that's older than you and me,

Oh dear, let me see.

Ten, Twenty, Forty, Fifty-three.

That is how old it could be.

It takes a bat and a ball,

Open air and no halls,

An umpire not a referee,

to make the calls,

A game where every player falls,

It's not a game played inside,

And no one ever tries to hide.

By the rules we must abide,

Winners, lossers everywhere even in the open air.

Your poetry is excellent!
I love any game where the only thing that gets hit by a bat is a ball!
