Today I put flowers by your side.
Flowers that I arranged very wide.
I know that you would approve
Of the colors that I choose.
Rainbow colors are the best.
They surely put me to the test.
I picked reds, violets and blues
And of course yellows too.
Green is the color of the dress that you wear.
With a pretty indigo and orange ribbon in your hair.
You must think this is very strange
But you see it was all arranged.
We had talked of the flowers
Rainbow colors she said were the best
In my minds eye she is at rest.
Arranging them took me hours.
So next year when I bring in hand
Rainbow colored Flowers.
I will visualize her playing in God’s Rainbow band.
