~Booze~ Booze is the most popular vice. It can be purchased at every store. Making people want to use it more. It moves into your house as the lover. Is always around and never talks back. Will eventually give you a heart attach. Every place you go there is booze. People are laughing and being silly. Sometimes doing crazy things. Stepping out of the comfort zone. Escaping the reality of their life. They never think it is a problem. Maybe because it is not illegal. Always making it more acceptable. The bottle is a reminder of an addiction. It looks at them every night in the kitchen. They can never just have one drink. Then a bunch of drinks isn’t enough. They say the drink helps them sleep. But in reality it is slowly killing them. It will take over and ruin your life. Boozers will always be losers. They will spiral out of control. Not knowing what is real anymore. They have escaped into another world. Passing out and pretending to be dead. That is what they always tell the little ones. What if one day they don’t wake up? Written by~ Chessly Lynn Nesci

I found this very informative piece written 5 months ago. As a former drinker I could not agree with you more. Two days ago I found out a buddy of mine dropped dead from drinking. He was a drinker for at least 40 years. Booze should be illegal but that will never happen.

Babe Ruth once said: �Telling a person that they cannot drink is like telling them that they cannot dream.� And that was at the pinnacle of prohibition. True, alcohol does kill but until someone is ready to admit they have a problem, all the poetry and preaching in the world will not stop them until they wake up or as you say�don�t wake up.

Dear Chessly, Booze is just another drug. I visit folks is prisons and almost 95% tell me that drugs and booze got them to feel they were bigger than they were. Then they wake up in the slammer. Oh well, it is too late then. Booze should be taken like any other drug- in small doses or it will have a very negative effect. Amen

"Maybe because it is not illegal." The made it illegal and the Mafia dn bootleggers got rich poisoning America with bathtub gin . . . I haven't drank in thirty some odd years, but I know you cannot stop people from drinking unless they want to stop . . . Telling them they can't drink is like pouring gasoline on a raging fire . . .
