Does a lonely man make a mistake again?

Just two days ago I felt astounded

I had found someone on the world wide web

I had very little to do with her since 1972

She was always a beautiful being in my eyes

I reached out to her in cyber space

She answered my calling the next day

Her reply to my reaching out was depressing

She seemed to be telling me of personal issues

However she could have never  gotten over her thoughts of social behavior

She was a party girl who indulged smoking weed

I had two children born from my first and only marriage

I did not want my children to be exposed to that environment

Instead of asking her to be part of the future together with me

I did what any coward would do, I disappeared from her world

There were several other romantic ventures in my life, but always with women who were either married or unfit prospective mates

So I remain in my golden years lonely and unstable

But she, by accident 38 years later returned to my life

I am placing the ball in her court

Will she respond?

To me, I hope not

For I remember, am a coward when it comes to woman

Don't know what to say Tony! Hope if she does respond, you at least stop being a coward long enough to give her a chance;-)

Hello Tony, after 38 years you can just be friends for now to begin the friendship again, see how it will go. I don't think after so long she expects anything else rather than just friendship.

Be careful of old loves, some will clean you out. My uncle's old love did that to him.

Tony, You reached out and that is not a COWARD!! I am praying for a good outcome with your old friend. Things happen for a reason and maybe this could turn into something special. Let a little time go by for her to return the BALL. If you don't here from her reach out anyway! Love, and peace always! ~ Chessly

A 'COWARD' DOES NOT LEAVE THE BALL IN 'HER' COURT...A COWARD IS AFRAID TO PUT IT THERE. YOU ARE GAME...AND I PRAY THAT YOU ARE MOVING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION AND THAT GOD WILL BE IN WHATEVER TRANSPIRES. THANKS FOR SHARING AND MUCH LOVE,

Wow, quite a story/poem! Let the Universe (fate) takes its course. You will see what will be..If it is meant to happen it will..why be lonely and alone the rest of your life, sometimes you just have to throw caution to the wind and go for it..it could be the best thing that ever happened to you!!!

No matter, know that you are never alone, you have your friends here on the den, we care and love you very much!

Peace, love, and light,
Amber "V"
