"DICKISM'S" are now "Dick-idioms" and they are little philosophical gems I have penned over the years. The numbering sequence has no relationship to their importance, or pecking order; it's just my way to identify them.
*DICK-IDIOM # 0* *(EXPLANATION) I've been posting little diddies that I referred to as Dickism's for several weeks now.* *I Googled the term* *just the other day.* *Thinking maybe I’d find myself.* *Which I did,* *but only after I found* *several pages* *of real raunchy website’s.* *Oh Woe is me, I thought!* *I’m no prude,* *but I don’t want to be “associated”* *with all that garbage.* *If someone should just happen* *To Google me (Bing me)* *I don’t want them thinking that’s me.* *What to do?* *I googled several other possibilities* *before settling on DICK-IDIOM’S* *which didn’t seem to have anything out there.* *then I considered the alternatives* *I have been writing DICKISM’S* *for over 10 years.* *I've become somewhat known for them.* *I had nearly 100 of them* *ready to go into a planned book.* *I had already posted 15 or 20 of them* *here on Author’s Den* *and 8 or 10 of them on another site.* *Plus, I had been putting the term* *into my Keywords for months.* *Not wanting to run into infringement claims* *and not wanting to be confused with* *those raunchy sites,* *I knew a change was needed.* *Beginning today, all of my DICKISM’S* *will begin to become DICK-IDIOM’S* *including those that were* *previously posted.* © 2011 Richard Lee King. I like the new name. It's a shame that in this new world of the internet, we have to be so concerned about copywrite issues and being confused for the bad guy. We all know what a sweetheart you are.
