Trying to be the best,
has certainly taken me to test.
I'm nowhere near,
miles out my face does appear.
I haven't really been trying,
I'm barely hanging defying.
Being the best takes guts,
not just hanging in the ruts.
I have plenty of nerve,
but for me life has been a swerve.
I swerved here,
then swerved there,
only to find out I truly care.
Life has been such a trying affair,
I'm lucky to still be breathing air.
My greatest achievement thriving,
is still being alive living.
I've certainly suffered lifes horror,
no one told me about the sorrow.
After all the years of ups and downs,
now I hang with the clowns.
Everything seems really funny,
my eyes should be truly runny.
My greatest feat,
is learning to laugh and smile complete.
That's it showing,
I'm the best at joy glowing.
My ability to suffer and smile,
has taken me a country mile.
The best thing I have going,
is keeping joy flowing.
While I'm trying to be better,
laughing like a fool has been my babysitter.
The day I can't find some fun,
darken my bright sun.
Being a very good clown,
has really kept me off the ground.
