Poem Artwork

The day was the same,
just another day by name,
until the bad news came.
Then it became a day of sad,
the news that came was bad.
Its was almost unbelievable,
wished it to be decievable.

But the news was true ,
my friend and home boy
was through.
He died that quick,
the news put me in a flick.
I cried out loud,
forgot being man proud.

Dead and gone,
faster that a dog after a bone.
My friend was my same age,
now he's on histories page.
I'll miss him dearly,
I mean this sincerely.
I learned a lesson on this day,
to even harder get out and play.
To the expense of a friend,
my life got a dividend.
