I was listening to this parent talking about her children and how she was going to do the best she could by them. This title came from her mouth, "They didn't ask to come here." It struck a nerve with me because one, it's true and two, my father fumbled the ball bad on me.

Can't live,
worrying about dying.
Unpacked my bags,
removed my rags.
Prepared for the day,
I'm here to stay.

Makes no difference
how I got here.
The adventure begin,
the day I moved in.
Time to dress up,
not stress up.

Got a sun shining in the day,
a moon shining at night,
to lead the way.
In light I travel,
to have fun and enjoy,
not to unravel.
The bones stay buried deep,
the love I spread,
in my soul I pray to keep.
