Love is the best thing going,
but you've got to know
what you'er doing
or you might end up in the wind blowing.
Like a ship off its course of travel,
your whole life could unravel.

And quite a few lives do,
even when the love is true .
Many have high expectations,
they end up almost impossible equations.
Expectations are very seldom met,
then comes the regret.

My regret hit like a ton of brick,
then came life with another trick.
I never regreted the love mix,
it was my brains psyched out fix.
I had to rethink the whole love game,
or my marriage would have met flame.
