More like everyone elses day but I had the final say.
My day belonged to everyone except me, I had to sit down and count to three. My space was invaded, every fool around serenaded. Right after I hit the door, the devil started to keep score.
No points for me, he even took my count of one two three. I then tried to take a deep breath, he removed the air from my path. I was hung out to dry, but I wasn't wet.
I had to survive on pure guts, while I was dealing with the nuts. Finally my day ended, but I was still suspended. I fell to the ground, but kept my joy around.
1,2,3 my count came back to me. I took a deep breath, ignored the evil in my path. Took a cool hour and soaked, dumb old devil just choked. Thought he had me down, I was playing possum with the clown.
Good for you but he lurks around ever corner and comes back time and time again to do battle with you. Stay strong each battle won is a stepping stone to heaven.
Excellent write; perfect in meter and rhyme! You are the master! Very well done!
