Parents can help make or break us, even before we get out of the womb.
No mommy, don't ensue it, must less do it. I would like a chance, before I get out you inflict my stance. The worlds already tough enough, without being addicted to that stuff.
I beg of you, you do not know what you do. This addicted feeling, with it my tomb you're sealing. Can't you hear my cry, at least understand why?
I might leave your womb, only to enter my tomb. Don't you care, it's really not fair. What you're doing isn't correct, a mother is suppose to nurture and protect.
Eye-opening piece, seemingly told from the womb. If fetuses could talk...

This is the first time I have read any of your work. I just had to tell you how good this is. This could be a great rap song, afterall, if you know anything about rap, it is the truth being told on a subject we all are against. This is real good writing.
This poem struck me right in the heart. I've had the privledge of working with many delayed children over my years. If only the user, Mother, Father, could understand the true purpose of life. The damage the drugs do to the fetus of a pregnant Mother. This write said it all. "A Mother is suppose to nurture and protect." A powerful statement in this piece of work. Bravo!

I don't know how I missed this one my dear friend...but I was just browsing around the den tonight when I saw this one come up on the hot poems and clicked...I was overwhelmed with emotions as I read this one. It's a sad situation, one that we are seeing more and more. I have a two children in my classroom that were drug babies, lucky to be alive as you are my friend! Powerful write!
