Out of all the rocks floating around in space, why this hard to live place?

Poem Artwork

For what it's worth,
I was born on planet earth.
Out of all the planets
in the universe,
I was doomed with this curse.
Earth is full of beauty,
but living here is a duty.

The only way out is death,
while we're here it's very hard to
accumulate much wealth.
The rich get richer,
the poor need the preacher.
It's hard to keep a face sunny,
when always short on money.

I guess earth is as good as any,
even if you don't have plenty.
At least I was born in
a country which,
maybe I can get rich.
But why did God bury the
gold so deep,
maybe so it would keep?
There are plenty of rocks
laying around,
but the gold and diamonds,
are buried way underground.
Food is sold by the pound,
the only thing free is air,
got plenty of it too spare.
In the meantime we might welter,
if we don't find shelter.
What a rock,
to pass time on the clock.

Very good!! Only. . .may still have plenty of air, but how much of it is breathable? H-e-l-p ! Let's hope there is still hope.

This is an excellent slant on good ol Mother Earth, my friend. There's even a charge for air these days ... if you're going to put it in your car's tires. I enjoyed your poem!

CJ

We do at least have a chance to get rich here on earth...
Still looking for a way...
