I'm a low profile person. My common sense tells me I could care less about a lot of attention, but yet I drive a red truck with racing strips. I wrote a book on a high profile subject. And for the last 6 years I've been writing poetry for the public eyes too see. I'm infecting my own comfort zone and my lifes full of contradiction. I'm figuring and calculating the math on this. I think I'm buried too deep.
Poets might as well open the pandora box, unlock the chicken coup and let in the fox. They might as well clean the floor, because there'll be spilled beans galore.
Clean floors or not, most won't put the beans back in the pot. Off the floor I will not eat, until I sat at my poetic seat. Some of my verse makes me choke, many times I wish I had not spoke.
Quite a few times I've hit delete, it was that or suffer from the heat. At this moment I wish I could stop during verse, rid myself of this poetic curse.

Poetic curse or labor of love, however you see it. The poet not only eats from the floor he lives there as well. Listening, watching, obeserving all as he charges himself with the protection of humanity and preservation of the arts. Relish your curse friend, because where your chair sits may be where important knowledge and information breaks. Loved how you described the poet's burden. HB

The curse of the artists big mouth! As a poet there sould be nothing you can't say, the more controversial the better, keep your finger off that delete button. I love spilt beans even if the floor is dirty.
