A poem about learning to enjoy every joyous second. The benefit may be a whole 24 hour day one joyous second at a time.
Out of two parents,
I only benefited from one,
it was almost like I didn't have none.
Momma worked all night long,
so as a kid I had to be strong.
Daddy was a dead beat,
left us alone for the mean street.
Every benefit I ever recieved,
seemed to follow after I was decieved.
Life offers no guarantee,
nothing in this world comes free.
Not even the hole we get burried in,
the only thing sure is sin.
The benefit of sinning is death,
we're not even guaranteed good health.
I reckon,
I'll live the next second.
One second of joyous thinking,
hopefully I can benefit from
a few more while blinking.
