Down in Lousiana where
the alligators grow so mean,
I kept my azz out because
the gators were too mean.
Across the wild west rockies,
the grizzlies are greedy and big,
they'll gobble us the way
we do the pig.

When I was a teenager
I use to think I was down.
Most of the time
this is the way I walked around.
I was strong and lean,
stupidly mean,
no high blood pressure,
not even high cholestrol
to measure.
I should have been walking
with my head up,
instead my mind was all corrupt.
Concentrated on stupid things,
instead of the joy youth brings.

Now I'm a grown azz man,
with a few years added to
my life span.
I got high blood pressure,
I've grown in size,
none of which I find a pleasure.
I'm still lean and strong,
muscle to the bone,
but I've got real problems along.

Didn't have them when I was young,
now they reside among.
Can't travel back to enjoy what's gone,
got to sit on this older age throne.
However I still got sense enough
to leave the
alligators and grizzlies alone.
