The Garden of Eden
for centuries we've been
in it praying a pleading.
Getting tornadoed, hurricaned
dying and bleeding.
Torchered & terrorized
with hair lines receeding,
trying to get our father to
give up what
we've been needing.

I'll beg your pardon,
this whole earth is the garden.
We never were kicked out,
we've just had to
learn our way about.
All the apple trees are
still growing,
the snakes presence
is spiritually glowing.
We've even juiced the apple,
to a sweet drink called snapple.

No need to search,
most of us believe in church,
the devil is still a lurch.
some of us pray,
so the devil won't
completely lead us astray.
Our father which art in heaven,
dice rolled snake eyes,
flipped pass seven.
