Versing away this writing pain
attacked by some insane
I verse for pleasure
and no financial gain
Yet at times I have to
clean up my blood stain
Still there's no conflict
to abstain
There's always a price to pay
during a rainy or sunny day
Old verse comes to decay
dragons and demons try to slay
Caught in the aggessive melee
I wouldn't have it any other way
Let it rain what may
flooding waters wash away
Some cats and dogs stray
They run free from cage
so goes this poetic rage
Let it rain all over the land
birthed from this poetic hand
"There is always a price to pay" indeed...an expressive, passionate piece, with a touch of resignation...the middle part affirms your love for life even while you wish rain upon the land...rain that can be destructive as well as cleansing
You sure do know where your coming from my friend. Thanks for taking us for the ride. Peace, Love and Blessings Always, Paul.
Evocative writing!
