The planted seed
planted out of need
We all plant seeds
which can end up
growing weeds
I beg your pardon
as I water
my flower garden

No weeds
grow from my seeds
But watch out
for the thorns
Beautiful flowers that
will stick like bull horns
I could have invented
the rose
No better example
I suppose

I grow according to
this crazy mean environment
I'm thoroughly familliar
with my holy requirement
Excuse me Lord
I have problems to solve
Nothing I can't handle
each day that evolve

But those mean old
humans better keep out
of my flower garden
or I'll have to beg
your  pardon
I'm not as strong as Jesus
he was a holy man
that tried to please us

I'll be damed if I let
any mean old human
nail me to a cross
Not as long as I'm
my own boss
