Love starts at home
even if you're living in Rome
and everywhere else we roam
Everywhere we go
people want to know
who we are
where we come from
if they can get some

Give up the love
they still push and shove
Even in the den
they still try to offend
right after the love we send
and don't try to mend
they seem to get worse
start retaliating in verse
some even start to curse

Showing love has never
hardly worked for me
other than for the image in
the mirror I see
Dad took it for granted
did nothing up until the day
he was planted
Three fourths of my wifes
family still hated
hardly ever negotiated

No
loves not enough
unless it's love tough
Even tough love don't
hardly work
some fools still act
like a jerk
Loves best perk

Realizing love lives in
the heart
each and everyday that start
Love in the heart
changes vision
it prevents hate as the
main mission
