I wrote this because on one of my other sites I keep getting messages from this fellow poetess asking "why she can't get any love or attention." I have visited her site on occassions but this doesn't seem to be enough, anyway I don't write on this site very much and very seldom visit it. Here's my main point, if a poet or writer can't stomach being ignored they had better get out of writing and versing. Because it is a part of the game for many who write and verse, especially me. My own family and friends never hardly visit or read my verse or books. Sobeit!
Some verse I wrote
just don't float
besides anyway I
don't gloat
It's just another day
of the ig
I'm the roasting pig
How does it feel
to be igged and roasted
instead of red wine
toasted
I've gotten use to
being ignored
of course it's
great to be adored
Reviews are nice
they can add honey & spice
but versing doesn't end
nor does it depend
on others eyes of sight
The wisest thing to do is
to continue to write
you certainly make a valid point--i am glad you wrote about this--i enjoy it when i do get reviewed but the most important thing is to write from the heart and what comes, will--of course, marketing helps!!
