Longevity rules gold, for many of us it's bought, and hard sold.
It seems like we're never done
but life can be a short run
One day we're here
the next we might disappear
Nevertheless we're always reaching
and life is always teaching
I remember back
twelve months to December
back twenty years I would
not like to remember
I tried to act dignified
but one day I almost died
Surviving was the only
thing that applied
I survived to make this long run
but reflecting back
my life almost made a short one
Life is short when we're enjoying
Very long if it is annoying
Eitherway there is no pleasure in
unnecessary destroying
but the devil be toying
You're a fighter my friend, glad you are here to tell the story through this wonderful poem...write on enjoyed this bit of wisdom much!
