The road to inner peace can be a hard treasure to find.
Most of us search for
peace of mind
quite a few eyes are
searching blind
Traveling down a
crowded highway
where in the end
there's a price to pay
Sometime even before
the trip starts on its way
Many try to find peace
in religion
others believe in evil
and superstition
or nothing at all
Surely the devil will
come to call
so goes the trip
before the fall
Sometimes the grime reaper
won't stall
but surely man will fumble
the ball
I tripped in and out of
a peaceful head
a few times almost ended
up dead
Final conclusion
Life is full of confusion
yes and watchout for
the illusion
True peace lies inside
if we can deal with the
rollercoaster ride
Peace may come in fractions
with hardly any attractions
mostly everyday subtractions
minusing from our satisfactions
i like this--i have felt pretty beat up by religion myself--well written!
