Love is just a word
used by fear filled voices
Some of the ones that
speak make evil choices
Love isn't any better than
the mouth using the word
from some it might as well
not been heard

It's a dog gone shame
being jerked around in
loves name
Makes one want to call it
a cruel stupid game
But love has the creators
stamp of approval
there'll be no permanent
human removal

One human can remove
love from their heart
another will come along and
give it a start
Then after years of the beat
down up and all around
wise men continue to
keep what they've found
