For Tyler Perry, who was beaten by his father and molested as a child, and others who suffered abuse or is still suffering. And just the regular person trying to keep a smile and not frown to keep from being down.
We all get sick and tired
of the downs
still we try and laugh
with the clowns
then it's back to the frowns
The frowns wrinkle our faces
Peeking in the mirror reminds us that
we need to reach for higher places
Each and every day we reach
only to get reminded that
life will always teach
As we listen to the preacher preach
the devils and demons leech
Some of us manage to stay up
others fall down corrupt
A smile cost us big time
trying to pass it past the slime
then those downers look at us like
we are committing a crime
Most of us know the ups don't
always sublime
But let it be no surprise
the sun will always rise
as long as we keep our
positive on the uprise
Anyone who abuses women, children, or babies ceases to be human in my eyes! So sad! Powerful write, Gem; well done! BRAVO!

Yeah, I read that yesterday. Good for him to be able to expel all of the poison he has more or less kept inside of him. I did the same thing when I wrote my book, "Misdemeanors & Felonies A Memoir." It was tough writing, but worth every word of it.
