So many hearts are broken
We find that peace may only
be a token
A man standing alone
may have a heart of stone
A woman that meets
may find there are no sweets
They come together
only to experience stormy weather
Then of course
we all know about divorce

A woman experiencing single
finally goes out to mingle
In a lover she may find no tingle
The love and peace she sought
may only remain as thought
Same old fantasy gets caught
By then she may find that
she's been sold and bought

True peace is hard to find
it may only come in one of a kind
In the garden Adam stood in peace
until the devil and Eve broke his lease
Once his peace was broken
it only became a token
Today all men stand in scar
mostly all we experience is war
If it's not an inner battle
the outside world will always
cause our heads to rattle

Life becomes mostly
shake rattle and roll
and will eventually take its toll
