the devil even hid in the garden
In God's first creation the devil
showed up as a snake
so can we really give the
church a break
He even gets to the preacher
supposedly God's faithful teacher
The church members are there for
help and guidance living
the preacher may stand even worse
needing forgiving

Some church folks are meaner
than a caged viper
unstabble and crazed hiper
Basically they might mean well
but it's hard fighting the devil
when he collects for hell
God gave us free will
so the devil has great confidence
that he can steal

On Sunday morning the pastor might
be greeting all
the devil standing right beside him
in the worship hall
Church ends with the pastor during
an alter call for membership
The devil stands right beside him figuring
all the weak souls that will make his trip
It should be no surprise
that he's standing in disguise
Might be peering right through
the preachers eyes
