I wonder how many chances
Adam got before he was really
booted out of the garden
If he didn't get at least three
maybe God should give him a pardon
The Garden of Eden seems
to be the basis of mans downfall
so on we stumble and fall
at times without a stall
especially when the devil
comes to call

Man definitely needs more than
one strike to fail
At the count of two we know
we might be on the way to hell
Once we reach three
the hot place we might see
Whatever hell or heaven
at least the soul will be free

Some men strike out on the
first swing
then end up with nothing
They might lose their head
at the worst end up dead
Then there's always the red
Others reach nine lives of the cat
still holding the bat
firmly planted right where they're at
They refuse to be pinned to the mat
makes no difference whether they
are skinny or fat
On their throne they sat
