Dear Life:
I've been living quite some years. Smiled, laughed, and shedded some tears. Also faced my fears. I've matured and adapted to your sometimes roller coaster ways. I understand that this pays. For if we don't adapt, well end up being inept, which in return we won't be kept.
At times you have scared the hell out of me. There were times when I really couldn't see, how precious you really are. I spent a lot of my precious time sitting in the bar. Drinking alcohol, then I'd fall, on my face, in disgrace. For a long time I thought it was fun to be intoxicated, then get so sick I'd have to be medicated. I thought being high was the way to go, until I found out it would make you go, places you actually wouldn't want to go. Like jail, then maybe to hell.
I love you life, because I love my own life. We exist together, for the better. I don't ride your roller coaster thrill ride as much as I use too. The ride caused me to be so sad and blue. I love to be more stable. This one day you're up and the next day you're down, is a game for a clown. It caused to much of a frown.
Please forgive me for not riding your roller coaster anymore. I really hope you're not sore.
From here on out,
I'm traveling the more stable positive route.
Murphy's law
I put in a locked draw
Overcome
Adapt
Improvise
Is my new disguise!
So when you come looking for me,
That's where I'll be.
Yours truly,
Grady E. Morrison
