This isn't an ego trip Or an arrogant blip This is about me in the heart and soul For there the true story is told I have always been on a mission And to my admission I was lost for sometime Almost got caught up in crime Now I'm sitting here almost crying Because I'm the only one that knows how hard I've really been trying To miss the abyss I do admit this I am my own hero Because I worked and prayed so hard not to throw My life away And for this I did pay And pray And still do until this day GEM

I applaude the author of this aching sincere poem! How it stirred my heart! Bravo!

I once heard this preacher say, "I''ll preach out of a paper bag if I have to." I feel the same about verse.

Paper Bag Poet

From the wishing well, minusing the devil''s hell.

I Wish U Well

Roses are red, thorns prick instead, depending on the head, or what is later on said.

Thorns End

The world is full of angry pissed off people everywhere, here and there, and some really don''t care. They have anger to spare.

Pissed Off People

Life is a sweet and sour affair, so take a deep breath and find some fresh air, that is if you dare or really care.

Deliver Us From Evil

We need oxygen, aka air, no matter what it needs to be there, however life at times isn't fair.

and likes, whatever! Oh yes, the racist and bigots are here too, just like in regular society.
