Sure I write I love writing Got one book wrote under my name But this writing thing is a pain I was born into the Kings English The Kings English wasn't born into me The French say The kings butt I will kick The kings language says I will kick the kings butt Makes sense to me But they say the Kings English is harder to learn for me The French say The kings castle I will burn The kings language says I will burn the kings castle If you ask me All the crap is a hassle

I always am brought back down to Earth with your prose. Born and raised in the English language with the most strict rules anyone could ever be under... I adored this.

It is not the king's Language, but god's Language, and the name of the god is "WOTAN" from "WODNE", - and that was how we got the word "WEDNESDAY", - the day of "Wodne", or "Wotan".

The poem is wonderful and will be better when you polish it to publish. When you do it, don't forget that English Language is written with punctuation signs, despite any poetical license

Grady...this is both humorous and insightful.
Having a working command of the language is a must to a writer of course.
I tend to agree with May Lu, in that, the most effective writing comes about when direct, what I refer to as, conversational english is used.
Nice write here.

No King anymore, Grady...Now it's the Queen's English. You can't be born into the Queen/King's English unless you were born there. You were born into American English. Totally different. [rofl]

We must use direct language when we speak and write. It's more effective that way.
