If I would have let my negative side win,
I would have been beat before I even begin.
I'm a lot further,
because I did bother.
I still have negativity in me,
But I learned not to let it rule me.
Negativity will rule your mind,
and weaken your spine,
It will tarnish your heart and soul,
and make you want to fold.
After considering the alternative,
I chose the strong positive.

It's hard to keep a tuff person down,
he or she will rise up and start to pound,
they'll go on the attack
and fight life back.

I told myself, "this is the way I want to be."
so at an early age I reprogrammed me.
Oh, I still don't have much,
but I'll always appreciate the positive touch.

These poems I write,
help me keep positivity in sight,
to use to improve my might.
