You've got to earn being happy. Everything worthwhile takes sacrifice and hard work. Happiness isn't any different. Joy everyday, run the blues away.

True happiness is just an illusion,
because life is filled with much confusion.
Life is an everyday struggle to survive,
everyday it's full of jive.
You're a lucky person,
if you can make a day without cursing.
One day you're up,
the next day your mind can be corrupt.

Everyone wants to be happy,
no one wants to earn being happy.
They seem to think happiness will find them,
captivate and romance them.
If you're waiting around for joy,
you'll end up being the devils decoy.
The devil will beat you,
then try to delete you.

True happiness is a strong attitude,
a made up in the mind operating mode.
It's realizing that you have about two choices,
sad or happy courses.
If you don't pick strong,
your life can end up going wrong.
And sometimes when you pick right,
life can still end up being a fight.

Make happiness a goal,
a life long acting role.
Played out in the brain,
it will cause you less drain.
Many times I find myself not feeling good,
but I still act out a good mood.
Because this is what I want to do,
don't tell me I can't act out what I want to do.
Happiness means so much to me,
it's just as important as wanting to be free.

Get back devil, thief of joy,
you got the wrong freaking boy.
You might intimidate others,
beat up on my sisters and brothers,
but you don't fool me,
this happiness is more mentally.
Meet me in my head,
the battle ground of joy and dread,
your behind will certainly be dead.
I'll defeat you,
then delete you!
