A poets tomorrow written today,
inside verses of word creation ensues,
attempting to write sorrows away.
The monkey trying to take a free ride upon,
see no evil,
hear no evil,
speak no evil,
but still his wrench gets pitched thrown.
Just when the world seems like it will make it,
even protected inside words of beauty,
the monkey wrench comes to break it.

Out in the universe God's and Angel's soar,
high above a dusty rock called earth,
influencing positive forces to explore.
A pen belonging to a hand not known,
the cosmic energy sizzles a brain resting,
language of communications come to zone.
Blank pages of parchment fill spaces,
inked with words from poets receiving,
so goes the monkey wrench leaving its traces.

Negative energy gone still tries to stay,
makes no difference what the poet say,
soaked inside with his own melee,
he either imitates darkness or tries to write it away.
With the aura of a world in constant terror,
and most of its natives seeing no light of vision,
an enthusiastic pen tries to write a better tomorrow.

Written on parchment and then thrown to air,
a whole new universe comes to light,
but only written words disguising dispair.
For seconds and moments some enjoy,
readers leave reality in existence,
with their vision focused on writes of joy.
A better tomorrow written in words,
only to fly away like frightened birds.

This poem is outstanding, one of your best to date, Grady. I like its striking perspective and honesty at depicting the ethereal nature of even recorded words. They're here temporarily, then fly away like birds. How true!
Best regards,
Leland
