A poet will poem anything,
sometimes almost nothing.
He'll take a word,
make it fly like a bird.
Take an expression,
make it a short story lesson.

A poet will make a sunrise,
out of a dull sunset,
then place in the eyes.
He'll make a cloud,
or remove a cloud,
She'll write about life,
its misery and strife,
or
make up a world,
then create the pearl.

Poets are like God's in creation,
they'll build a whole nation.
Then tear it down,
poem it to the ground.

And watch out cupid,
a poet will make you look stupid.
She'll break your arrow,
turn it into a sparrow.
Write about love,
create God above.

Don't mess with the poet,
he'll certainly do it.
Blow the word clean out of this universe,
sometimes improperly curse.
A poet might mean you,
turn around and redeem you,
then triple dream you.

The poet!
