Words can make us good
Words can make us bad
Words can save our souls
If our heart believes it so
Words can build homes and families
Write history in our books
And fill our favorite songs
Teach our children how to get along
Words hold our world together
With every written spoken sound
But just one single word
Can tear it all down
Words can hurt words can heal
Say grace over our meals
Words can tell us
Who cheats or steals
Words can bring peace and love
And show how we feel
They fill our hopes and dreams
Or make us believe things never real
So choose your words wisely
Never in haste or vain
Words might come back loosely
Covered in guilt and shame
Some wordly advise. Words spoken or written in anger are the worst. But it is necessary to raise a voice against tyranny rather than be silent. Often it's not how the words were written or said, but the interpretation of those who heard or read it. Misunderstandings are the hardest to mend.
