Somehow unable to stand..

Trying to swim..
The shore is so
close..
There seems to be a rip tide..
Attached to her soul..
Keeping her in this water..
This water icy cold..
She tries to stand up..
She slowly sinks in quick sand..
She falls..
Water begins to fill her lungs..
She keep trying to swim to shore.
Wondering..
If it is all in her mind..
This shore she thinks she sees..
So close..
Yet far..
How is she to reach it..
When she is getting so very tired.
Tomorrow they will find her..
In inches of water..
Face down and bloated..
She hopes the struggle shows on her face..
Then everyone will know ...
She tried..
The very best she could..
She didn't quit ..
Life quit on her..
As she floats on the top
of shallow waters..
That somehow..
imprisoned her mind, body and soul..
Left here
alone to die..
