Poem Artwork

Your eyes calmly gazing into mine..
Searching my soul..
There's nothing to find..
Looking for a feeling.
An emotion I hide..
These blue eyes..
Soft in this room..
Quietly crying..
hoping no one will see..
Bottled up passion
you release to me..
You look to these eyes
for a secret each day..
Ponder all night..
In whose arms I may lay..
Through this night..
they seem to haunt..
Yet still they emit
desire and want..
When all is over..
All passion through..
These eyes may not
seem as they do..
For when we wake
with the morning light..
These eyes turn to darkness..
..as does vanquish the night.

Very sad, losing or the thought of losing ones self.

These eyes turn to darkness as does vanquish the night. Great paradox, sums and neatly ties the poem up..

Erica,
Love this, actually a sad but very sensual piece. I always believed that one could see all through another's eyes.

Say Something Terrorible v3 by RickthePoetWarrior

My mom says ‘If you can’t say anything nice then don’t say anything’. Sorry mom but under the guise of poetic license I penned these beauties.
