I think love is like a candle.
flickering through our lives..
the wax burning ever so slowing
taking an inch at a time..
an inch for every disappointment
sorrow and tear..
every inch melting love down
throughout the years
Take the time to kiss good bye..
watch the flicker of the candle light..
Bye a card "just because"
no special occasion just for love..
But most important of all..
be there when her tears fall..
For every tear of lonely sorrow
that wets a loved ones face..
You lose an inch of wax
that cannot be replaced..
You must watch this candle all the time..
or you could let the wick run down..
Leaving nothing but cold hard wax..
With not even a wick
to bring the flicker of loves light back
So...
If you watch your candle carefully..
Maybe you will find..
A candle that will flicker with love
for an entire lifetime..
