I hold this razor..
Contemplating
This decision..
Do I make the
final swipe..
Just one long incision.
Then I can lock
my door..
Go to sleep..
Never wake..
Pray to God my soul
to keep..
I look at my arms..
I see scars from
memories
gone by..
Do I really want to
remake mistakes..
Take my life..
No matter whose heart
I break?
God, I hate this!!
What have you done?
I want desperately
To go
Into eternal sleep..
But I cannot do this..
Knowing my sons would
feel the guilt
and weep..
I am trapped here!
Once again
Perhaps the next time
This
razor
will
win.
