When she was born
they named her
Ginger...
Like Ginger and spice
and everything nice...
Not a bad name..
Ginger was a normal toddler
She was filled with spunk
she was filled with energy..
Sometimes she hid
so she could not be found..
Ginger's Mom got very angry..
Mom was filled with hells wrath..
She constantly threatened
to drown the child in the bath..
This scared the little girl..
Because she knew she
had already been held under
the icy cold water long enough..
to be one with death....
Eventually she learned to
play dead while
holding her breath..
She held it all in
Until it burned her
heart and chest..
Until her head felt light..
She knew then
She may not survive this fight..
She wished she could cross over..
Into deaths warm embrace
She wished more than anything
To leave this painful place..
When Ginger was in
Elementary school..
She met a child named Eric..
A prankster who made her laugh..
Helped her to live with
the threat of the bath..
So one day the Mom
started to call her Erica..
Erica the rotten seed..
Erica Erica Erica..
Erica the bad..
"I can see what your thinking Erica"..
She taunted the child..
Never try to hide..
I know exactly who you are..
Evil twins
Eric and Erica side by side.
So Ginger "became" Erica
In her heart
In her mind..
That was what they
called her now..
Most of the time.
Erica.. was a part of her..
so she learned to use
the name
Learned to let it
fit her..
As they were all
the same..
Then when she
was seventeen...
She moved far away..
She started a new life..
Needed a new name..
Something.. wonderful..
Something strong..
A name people trust..
A name that says...
I belong..
Jennie..
Like the girl next door.
Now that has been her name
for the last ten years
or more..
Sometimes she is not sure
who is the "real" one..
Perhaps she is one
perhaps all three
It doesn't really matter
she is who she
is meant to be..
Ginger Erica Jennie
They are all the same..
They breath the same air..
They all laugh the same..
They share the same love
They share the same pain..
They are all equally
to blame..
Perhaps they should
have just named us all
Shame..
After all
.........it's just a name.
This is so sad! My heart goes out to you. You are now a strong woman, and must look forward to your future. Knowing that you are loved by God and there's an angel on your shoulder to guide your way. You will not be lost.

this one is so painful sweetie.
I know Mothersday is coming and I have a really hard time dealing with it all.. I never was close untill in the last three years and then it is at least 700 miles betweeen and the phone can get a bad connection. So this one pained me deep sweetie...
