Just a thought...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Poem Artwork
What happened
To my life?
What happened to my world?
Where did I turn wrong?
Or
Was I ever right?
The turns of fate
confuse me so..
I try to find my way...
I want to do
the right thing
But who am I to say.
My dreams and aspirations
seem vanquished..
But my mind won't
let them go...
I have to walk
this road of fate..
To cleanse
my dirty soul..
Ohh God,
Help me find the
tunnel of light..
I am growing weary
With this fight..
What is the purpose
of this life..?
If I am always
blinded by
the night.
God help me..
I have made
fate my life..
God help us all..
If I am
not right..
Perhaps life is
nothing..
Just an insignificant..
fleeting flight in time..
Ohhh,
How the world
would change
With anger and hate..
If there truly
is no road
to
fate.
Gold is only pure after being purified in the furnace ,our souls are tested like in the furnace of life , it purifies and makes us like smelted images of God our creator .
You have a great humility Erica .
Beautifully written .
Dear Erica, You the very talented writer, this piece proves that!! But You do not have a dirty soul!! You're more like an angel in disguise! Please know that!
I've been thinking about fate, wrote one myself today, and Amor made a comment that has my little mind twisting. Not fate but rather destiny. Been on my mind all day can't shake it and now reading your post I'm wondering what I'm supposed to glean. Perhaps it is fate for me to worry about fate? Or is it my destiny to never know the difference. Hope all is well with you, we will talk soon....
Someone many years ago, when I asked those same questions, said "what do you seek.." It turned me on forever. There is no wrong first step. No choice is 'a' choice.
Thoughtful work.
